The Core Idea: AI That Lives on Your Device, Not in a Browser Tab

An AI laptop flips that model. Instead of AI being something you go to, it's something that's already there — running quietly in the background the moment you power on the device. It's less like visiting a tool and more like having a built-in assistant that's always within reach.

Here's the honest, balanced take: on-device AI is real and increasingly useful, but it isn't the only thing that should drive your laptop decision.

It's worth prioritizing if you:

  • Work with sensitive data and care about processing staying local
  • Travel often or work in low-connectivity environments
  • Edit photos or video regularly

It matters less if you:
